Serves 4 persons
Charcoal broiled Prawns w. Savory Sauce / GOONG PAUW
Large prawns 4 pcs.
Water 1/3 cup
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp.
Chopped garlic 11 tbsp.
Chopped chilies 1 tbsp.
Chopped fresh coriander 1 tsp.
Lime juice 2 tbsp.
Foil or banana leaf some
Clean the prawns, wrap each in foil or banana leaves, and tie well. Grill over a charcoal fire about 12 minutes. Serve with the sauce.
Heat the sugar and water in a sauce pan over low heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat, add the salt and stir well. Remove from heat and allow cooling; then, adding the rest of the ingredients and mixing thoroughly.
