Serves 4 persons
Mung-Beans in Syrup / TAU TIEOW TOM NAM TAN
Mung-beans 1 cup
Light brown sugar 1 cup
Water 5 cups
Soak the mung-beans overnight or at least 3 hours, and them drain.
Boil the mung-beans in the 5 cups water until tender and then add the sugar. When the sugar has dissolved completely and the syrup has returned to a strong boil, remove from the heat.
